The Committee was established to advise and assist the Minister on matters within their responsibility. The Committee undertakes a scrutiny, policy development and consultation role with respect to the Department for the Economy and plays a key role in the consideration and development of legislation.

Latest News

The Committee for the Economy will next meet on Wednesday 18th January 2017, in Room 30, Parliament Buildings. There will 2 Evidence sessions, the first with InterTradeIreland and the second with Health and Safety Executive Northern Ireland on Workplace Safety.
